Banquet Captain (Full-Time – FOH Focused)

Compensation: Hourly + Gratuities | Full-Time | Weekends Required

Main Street Abbey, a historic and beautifully restored wedding and event venue, is looking for a Full-Time Banquet Captain to lead our front-of-house team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in events, catering, or restaurant service who thrives in a leadership position and enjoys being part of once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the front-of-house team during weddings and private events

• Participate in wedding rehearsals, helping couples feel comfortable and organized

• Order and manage linens and FOH rentals for each event

• Execute detailed event timelines in coordination with the Event Coordinator and culinary team

• Assist with event setup, guest service during events, and breakdown

• Communicate with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth, high-quality service

• Maintain a positive and professional presence throughout each event

Qualifications:

• Experience in banquets, catering, or restaurant front-of-house roles

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Reliable, professional, and guest-focused mindset

• Comfortable working weekends, evenings, and long shifts during events

• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time position with variable weekly hours based on event schedule

• Hourly pay plus gratuities during events

• Primarily weekend and evening availability required
